It is our 50th cronetoon! Thanks for everyone's support on this grand adventure!

In honor of the New Year and this landmark, here is a Crone Cocktail designed by crony Anne Brack!
Happy New Year!

At last! the final house! Minervatrix!

Just listened to the Heads Will Roll series by Kate McKinnon and her sister Emily Lynne on our own road trip. I loved the narrator crones who 'only have three cats and are not virgins'. I so wish I had thought of that line first.

Next week the final house is revealed and next Friday the 25th will be the next Crone-o-meter review. Stay tuned!

37: Skitter

This was not originally the cartoon I was going to do for today but what came out...

This was possibly due to some logistical challenges... Although Miffy thinks her contributions are helpful.

New Crone Video

I finally did a video for the Patreon page. It is my first attempt at Adobe After Effects which it turns out is not too different from Premier Pro Elements just with more goodies.

Crone-O-Meter: Death on the Nile

THIS FRIDAY! The Crone-O-Meter takes on the 1978 version of Grand Crone Dame Agatha Christie's delightful mystery. Why 1978? With a cast including Maggie Smith, Angela Lansbury, AND Bette Davis, the answer is clear.

35: Glaring

I was delighted but unsurprised that one of the names for a group of cats is a GLARING of cats. I HAD to do this cartoon.

We will be back to the Crone Houses next week with HARPYCLAW...

The first of the four Crone Academy houses. Which are you in? There will be a quiz to find out!

We have all heard of the Bechdel Test for rating movies. That is nothing compared to the Crone-O-Meter movie rating! Find out what movies are Crone-worthy in the new monthly feature accessible to patrons only and drops every third Friday of the month.

Ratings are 1-5 teacups based on the rigid Crone-O-Meter standard.

Our first movie is Julie and Julia. Julia Child is the queen of crones! why did they only give her fascinating biography only half a movie?

If you become a patron by Monday, August 19th, you will get a Crone sticker set!

30: Readers

This is our 30th cartoon! In honor of this milestone, all my patrons are getting stickers! Also, stay tuned for the first Cronometer review Friday. Reviews will be every third Friday and for patrons only!

29: Cronehaven

In honor of Gencon happening last weekend, I did this cartoon. We game almost every week. I had to add the pop-o-matic bubble to the Crone game. I wonder why games never have those anymore...
Yes, this week's Crone episode is late. I had a giant book deadline. But, that just means you will get more Crone excitement soon! Plus, Monday we will unveil the Cronometer segment!

Monday, July 15, 2019

COMING SOON! We are adding a movie review segment in August that gives a CRONOMETER rating. Sure there is the Bechdel Test, but this is a whole new level!

25: Graeae

This is based on personal experience. I think that I am being punished for designing things with so much tiny type when I was younger...
Several friends have offered me their readers in restaurants when I have forgotten mine. I said it reminded me of the Grey Sisters in Greek mythology who shared an eye.
Today we have reached 25 comics! Thanks for following the journey!

16: Bad Memory

A nod this week to Tenacious D...

Thanks New Patrons!

Thanks my Patreon supporters so far! I plan to eventually migrate all the episodes to a webcomic website. Your support makes it possible!

We interrupt this broadcast to announce that the first 13 episodes of Embrace the Crone are collected in this mini-comic available at my friend Tim Fuller's table at SPACE (Small Press and Alternative Comic Expo)

Of course, I will be across town at Ohioana Book Festival with Hidden Shoreline and a collection of my other books.

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.
