Just listened to the Heads Will Roll series by Kate McKinnon and her sister Emily Lynne on our own road trip. I loved the narrator crones who 'only have three cats and are not virgins'. I so wish I had thought of that line first. Next week the final house is revealed and next Friday the 25th will be the next Crone-o-meter review. Stay tuned!
THIS FRIDAY! The Crone-O-Meter takes on the 1978 version of Grand Crone Dame Agatha Christie's delightful mystery. Why 1978? With a cast including Maggie Smith, Angela Lansbury, AND Bette Davis, the answer is clear.
We have all heard of the Bechdel Test for rating movies. That is nothing compared to the Crone-O-Meter movie rating! Find out what movies are Crone-worthy in the new monthly feature accessible to patrons only and drops every third Friday of the month.
Ratings are 1-5 teacups based on the rigid Crone-O-Meter standard.
Our first movie is Julie and Julia. Julia Child is the queen of crones! why did they only give her fascinating biography only half a movie?
This is our 30th cartoon! In honor of this milestone, all my patrons are getting stickers! Also, stay tuned for the first Cronometer review Friday. Reviews will be every third Friday and for patrons only!
This is based on personal experience. I think that I am being punished for designing things with so much tiny type when I was younger...
Several friends have offered me their readers in restaurants when I have forgotten mine. I said it reminded me of the Grey Sisters in Greek mythology who shared an eye.
Today we have reached 25 comics! Thanks for following the journey!
We interrupt this broadcast to announce that the first 13 episodes of Embrace the Crone are collected in this mini-comic available at my friend Tim Fuller's table at SPACE (Small Press and Alternative Comic Expo) https://www.facebook.com/events/285774532118664/
Of course, I will be across town at Ohioana Book Festival with Hidden Shoreline and a collection of my other books.
